When/if this project is going to be attempted again in Queensland in 2010 (or even later 2009 to get ready for the following year), the organisation (AELC) need to do a better job at the way the program, Business Icon Queensland, is going to be run in states other than Western Australia. Especially my home state of Queensland.
My organisation puts in hours of work and money for no return so this is a blow for us all. We have struggled with Queensland for 4 years and the Board have decided we can’t keep going on.

If I see this project being initiated in Queensland again, there needs to be proof that the organisation / the management / the structure has been improved based on the recommendations that my team members have sent through and also via other recommendations that have been sent in the past.
If this project runs again, I will share my personal story about my experience 2008-2009 and can perhaps chat to someone about it if they need to. When I started seeking out the people that were involved, their insights and their time have been helpful during a difficult time.
